School vacation should be a time for flexibility, relaxation and enjoying the lazy, hazy days of summer. But for working parents it can be even more stressful as they work to juggle kids out of school for two months and the need to be bringing in a paycheck. At Northeast Med Staff we understand the potential childcare conflict summer poses. This can be especially daunting for single mothers with few options outside of expensive babysitting or summer camp programs.
At Northeast Med Staff, we offer a variety of flexible work options to enable medical professionals such as nurses and nurse’s aides to custom-tailor a summer work schedule that enables them to maximize family and work time while minimizing summer childcare issues.
Summer schedule flexibility
Many nurses and nurse’s aides choose to work with us because they need flexibility in their schedule, especially during the summer. Nurses who need to be home when their children are have the ability to make their own schedule. Other nurses may have full time jobs and work with us to pick up an extra shift on their days off. Schedule flexibility enables nurses to make the best use of their available time. At Northeast Med Staff, we have the flexible schedules to meet your often un-flexible demands.
Are you a nurse looking for flexible temporary employment during the summer months and have high school age children who are working themselves or capable of being left home alone or in charge of siblings? We can provide contract opportunities for full-time employment of 13 weeks or more to take you through the summer and into the fall.
Prefer more part-time summer employment to allow for time-off and summer fun with your kids? We can provide you with work for just two or three days a week. This is also ideal if your teenage kids have part-time summer jobs with set schedules and you want to schedule work to match theirs so you can spend days off together. Likewise, if you have younger children in summertime programs for part of their vacation and you want to a work schedule that allows you to work around their activities.
If you need even more summertime flexibility, per diem employment enables you to work on the days you specify and work just a day or two per week.
Summer’s a great time to explore a variety of workplaces –and earn extra income!
Many of our nurses enjoy working in different clinical settings. If you prefer, one day you can work in a Long Term Care Facility and then work the next day in a hospital. It’s your choice. By exposing yourself to a variety of clinical settings you have the benefit of experiencing different methods of care in different environments.
In many cases our nurses earn a higher rate of pay by working with us. Nurses who work full time at other facilities supplement their income by working one or two days a week with us. In most cases because of the nature of the staffing business we are able to pay higher rates. In addition to regular pay, holiday pay and overtime pay are available to our staff as well as on-going bonus programs.
Whatever your summertime or year-round employment preference, Northeast Med Staff is dedicated to matching up nurses and nurse’s aides with medical facilities that need temporary staffing help. Our goal is to provide both nurses and healthcare facilities with the flexible, accommodating schedule they need to meet their specific needs – whether it’s a hospital with a sudden change in census or a registered nurse looking for temporary employment that works with her children’s summer vacation schedules.
